Eagles shoot past Arrows

Lowell boys golf team split its tri-meet with Creston and Grand Rapids Christian at Quail Ridge Golf Course.

The Red Arrows carded a team score of 178, 17 shots in back of the Eagles.

Christian finished with a round of 161 while Creston came home in 256.

“Grand Rapids Christian is a very good golf team,” said Lowell coach Gary Fredline. “We didn’t play our best, but we’re making progress.”

Brandon Poll led all Lowell golfers with a nine-hole total of 42. Ben Hart and Alec Roerig followed two shots back with scores of 44 while Aaron Anderson shot a 48.

” I still feel we can be a factor in the conference race,” Fredline concluded.
