Lowell’s 360 in the O-K White Conference preseason golf tournament didn’t open any eyes, conversely it’s 169 against Portland was the type of score that makes one want to play again real soon.
“We played much better against Portland and posted a very competitive score especially under the poor weather conditions,” said Lowell boys golf coach Gary Fredline.
The Red Arrows defeated Portland in the dual match, 169-186.
Brandon Poll (40) posted Lowell’s top score. He was followed by Ben Hart, 41; Alec Roerig, 44; and Evan Kohtz, 44.
The Red Arrows’ 360 in the preseason conference tournament at Thornapple Pointe Golf Course placed them fourth.
Hart, carded a top 10 score of 85. Poll carded an 89 followed by Roerig’s 93 and Anderson’s round of 93.
“We didn’t play very well, but I think our scores were high due to lack of practice because of weather issues.
East Grand Rapids won the tournament with a round of 321. Grand Rapids Christian was five strokes back at 326 and Greenville was third at 341.
