Lowell girls bounce Northview

Lowell girls basketball team followed up a disappointing  performance in a one-point loss (25-24) to Mona Shores with a strong, winning effort against Northview.

The Red Arrows used a 15-4 scoring advantage in the second quarter to build a 27-16 half-time lead and then cruised to a 47-35 victory.

Lowell was buoyed by balanced scoring. Stephanie Stevens and Amber Martin led the way with 11 points each, Brooke Curtis and Katie Tompkins each added nine and eight points respectively.

Northview’s Taylor Shomin led all Wildcats with 10 points.

Lowell, 7-11, 4-4,  hosts Holland on Tuesday.
